Our Child Care Center’s Approach to Safety & Security
We’re dedicated to safety in all we do. In fact, it comes first with our educators, many of whom are also parents. It’s why we stay up-to-date on and adhere to guidelines set forth by our county health department, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This includes cleaning and sanitizing every classroom and teaching children proper personal hygiene habits, like regular hand washing.
In addition to health and well-being, we provide families in and around the local area with a learning center that offers a high level of security. Every teacher is thoroughly trained in all of our safety and security measures, so they know how to properly protect every child. In addition, we also:
- Require rigorous screening, including a background check, for all employees before being hired.
- Ensure staff is trained in CPR and First Aid beyond the standards created by the U.S. Office of Child Care.
- Monitor our center and our classrooms through state-of-the-art closed circuit cameras.
- Check photo identification for both parents and visitors before being allowed to enter our center.
- Develop and implement protocols for emergency situations and potential lockdowns.
