PR Newswire recently featured Celebree for our National Nutrition Month campaign, Healthy Habits Start Here. In March, we’ll be sharing helpful resources, fun activities, and expert tips designed to support families as they build healthy habits with their children.
If you’ve ever thought “Did my toddler eat a vegetable today?” or fought trying to get “just one more bite” of broccoli, you’re not the only one! Mealtime with little ones can feel like a battlefield and many parents are trying to find ways to encourage eating healthy without the daily fight. That real-life parenting experience is exactly what inspired our Healthy Habits Start Here campaign.
Helping Families Build Healthy Habits Early
The early years are so important for starting lifelong habits like how children feel about food. At the same time, national data shows that many children still don’t eat fruits and vegetables on a regular basis. Our hope in this campaign is not that parents try for perfection, but instead feel supported in making small, realistic changes that can turn into long-term healthy habits.
“At Celebree, we believe healthy habits begin early and grow through joyful, everyday moments,” said Kristen Miller, Director of Education at Celebree School. “National Nutrition Month gives us a wonderful opportunity to partner with families in creating positive food experiences that build confidence, spark curiosity, and support lifelong well-being.”
Across our programs, which serve children from six weeks through 12 years old, we emphasize hands-on learning, play-based discovery, and experiences that help children build important skills that will be carried throughout their life. That includes creating a healthy relationship with food and learning habits that extend beyond the classroom.
Activities and Resources for Families
During our campaign, families will have opportunities to get involved and explore healthy eating together in fun ways. One highlight is our Eat the Rainbow social media challenge. In this, we will encourage families to try colorful fruits and vegetables and to share their child’s meals using the hashtag #HealthyHabitsStartHere.
We’re also hosting a national giveaway, where families can enter for a chance to win a children’s kitchen and wooden play food set. To enter, families only need to follow Celebree School on social media and share photos of their cooking moments together.
We’re also created a free Everyday Nutrition Toolkit, available on the Healthy Habits Start Here campaign page. This resource includes practical materials for families, such as a Kids Chef interactive cookbook template, an infant-to-toddler nutrition transition guide, a Nutrition 101 fact sheet, and a seven-day toddler meal plan created to fit real family routines and grocery budgets.
Expert Guidance for Parents
As part of the campaign, we’ll also host a free webinar on March 25 titled Raising Healthy Eaters on a Real-Life Budget: Smart Nutrition for Today’s Toddlers. In this session led by a registered dietitian, they will cover helpful topics like navigating picky eating, introducing nutrient-dense foods, and making healthy choices while managing rising grocery costs.
The Healthy Habits Start Here campaign reflects our ongoing commitment in supporting families as they build routines that help children flourish. By providing practical tools, expert knowledge, and playful learning experiences, we hope to make healthy habits feel a little more achievable and a lot more joyful for families everywhere.
