Celebree School Raises Over $57,000 for MedStar Franklin Square NICU | Celebree School

Early Childhood Education Franchise Donates Life-Saving Funds as a Result of 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Celebree School, a leader in early childhood education that provides infant and toddler care, preschool, before and aftercare, and summer camp programs, announces the success of its 3rd annual charity golf tournament, raising $57,780. All funds have been donated to the MedStar Franklin Square Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to support the hospital in providing life-saving care.

The tournament took place at the Links at Challedon in Mt. Airy earlier this month where 125-plus golfers, 25 volunteers, and 20-plus sponsors gathered in support of MedStar. Additional funds were raised through silent auctions, giveaways, swag, food, and more – all contributing to Celebree School exceeding its donation goal of $50,000.

“This is an event we’ve come to look forward to every year,” said Richard Huffman, Founder and CEO of Celebree School. “At Celebree, our commitment to nurturing children and their families runs deep. Being able to make this donation and have an impact on families and their newborn children aligns with our core mission and truly means the world to us.”

All parents dream of having a routine delivery and a healthy baby when they excitedly anticipate their new arrival. When deliveries do not go to plan or a baby requires special care, the NICU provides expert, live-saving care.

MedStar Franklin Square’s Medical Center’s NICU recently celebrated six years in a beautifully renovated space designed for infants and families to heal together. The new space is larger and family-centered, so newborns and families can spend days, weeks, and sometimes months, of life together in a healing environment.

“We are so grateful for this generous donation as it allows us to make a real impact in the lives of the families we care for,” said Dr. Menna. “Because of this donation, we hope to provide our NICU with state-of-the art Giraffe incubator beds that provide crucial warming and light to newborns. We express a huge amount of gratitude to the Celebree School team and know the work they do makes difference both inside and outside of their schools.”

Celebree School lives by its promise to Grow People Big and Small™, and was founded on the belief that success in early childhood development is equal parts curriculum and a connection that extends beyond the classroom to address the needs of the whole child and the whole family. Each Celebree School is a village made up of parents, children, and educators while providing curriculum-based care that prepares your child for kindergarten and beyond.

Today, with 26 corporate schools, eight franchise locations, and more than 80 franchise licenses in various stages development, Celebree School has set an aggressive development goal of opening 150 new schools by 2025.
