Celebree School Promotes Kristen Miller to Vice President of Education - Celebree School

Celebree School has promoted Kristen Miller to vice president of education, expanding her leadership role as the early childhood education provider continues to grow its network of schools and invest in curriculum development, teacher support and educational quality.

Miller, who previously served as director of education, will oversee the company’s educational strategy, curriculum excellence, educator development and classroom quality across the Celebree system. The promotion comes as the organization continues to expand its footprint through both company-operated and franchised schools, increasing the need for consistent educational standards across its network.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Richard Huffman said Miller has played a central role in strengthening the company’s educational programs and maintaining high-quality learning environments.

“Providing the highest quality early childhood education requires a relentless commitment to children, families, and the educators who guide them,” Huffman said. “Kristen has been instrumental in elevating our educational standards and ensuring that every Celebree classroom delivers meaningful learning experiences that help children build confidence, curiosity, and the skills they need for lifelong success.”

Miller has more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education, with expertise spanning classroom instruction, curriculum development, accreditation and educational leadership. Since joining Celebree in 2015 as a school director, she has taken on progressively broader responsibilities, serving as director of accreditation in 2016 before being promoted to director of education in 2022.

During her tenure, she has helped strengthen curriculum implementation, educator support systems and accreditation efforts designed to maintain quality standards throughout the organization’s schools. In her expanded role, she will continue working with franchise owners and school leaders to support curriculum implementation, educator training, classroom quality and the successful launch of new locations.

“I am honored to continue working alongside our educators and leaders to ensure every Celebree child receives the support, encouragement, and learning opportunities they need to succeed,” Miller said. “Early childhood is a critical time in a child’s development, and we have an incredible responsibility and opportunity to make those years meaningful.”

Beyond her responsibilities at Celebree, Miller is active in the broader early childhood education community. She serves on the board of the Maryland Child Care Association and represents the company through the Early Care and Education Consortium, contributing to national discussions on childcare policy and educational quality.

Huffman said Miller’s combination of operational experience and educational expertise has helped establish Celebree’s reputation in the early learning sector.

“Kristen’s leadership has helped position Celebree as a recognized leader in early childhood education,” he said. “Her passion for children, commitment to educators, and deep understanding of what creates meaningful learning environments make her uniquely qualified to lead our educational vision.”

A key focus of Miller’s leadership has been preparing children for kindergarten through a balanced approach that combines structured curriculum with play-based learning. She has often described kindergarten readiness as the ultimate measure of educational success, emphasizing academic, social, emotional and developmental preparation. Under her direction, Celebree’s educational strategy continues to emphasize foundational skills in language and literacy, mathematics, creativity, physical development, problem-solving and social-emotional learning.

Founded in 1994, Celebree School provides infant and toddler care, preschool and summer camp programs. The company launched its franchise program in 2019 and, in 2024, became part of Huffman Family Brands, a multi-brand parent company created by founder Richard Huffman to oversee Celebree and its affiliated concepts.

Miller’s promotion reflects Celebree’s broader strategy of strengthening educational leadership as it expands its network, reinforcing the role of curriculum quality and educator development as key differentiators in the increasingly competitive early childhood education market.
