Celebree School Celebrates Literacy Month
ENTER THE CONTESTSeptember is Literacy Month
At Celebree School, we are deeply committed to promoting literacy as a fundamental building block for a child’s future success. We believe in growing people BIG and small. That starts for many by fostering a love for reading from an early age helps children develop critical thinking skills, expand their imagination, and improve communication abilities. Literacy is not just about reading words on a page, it’s about opening doors to knowledge, creativity, and lifelong learning. As technology continues to evolve, Celebree School is taking a look at how AI will have an impact on children’s literacy this year.

Register for Our FREE Webinar
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation with Dr. Ying Xu, Assistant Professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, as we explore how AI is influencing early development and what it means for the future of reading, comprehension, and critical thinking.
In this live webinar, Dr. Xu will unpack how children interact with AI tools and how these technologies are beginning to influence cognitive, social, and emotional growth. We’ll examine how children learn from AI compared to human educators, the risks of misinformation, and what today’s children actually understand about the AI tools they use. This session will also touch on the opportunities for STEM learning through AI engagement and the growing importance of AI literacy in early education.
Whether you’re a parent, educator, or industry professional, this webinar will offer valuable insights and practical takeaways as we navigate what it means to raise children in an increasingly AI-powered world.

Use AI to Develop Personalized Stories for Your Child
We developed a mad-lib style AI prompt that allows you to plug in your children’s interests to build a personalized story that includes them as the main character! At Celebree School, we believe in fostering children’s interest to allow for deeper learning. This AI prompt offers a fun way to spark creativity while nurturing a love for reading and learning. Simply copy and paste the prompt below, and plug in the all capital words with your own choices, just like a mad lib. We believe AI in early childhood literacy should enhance, not replace, traditional storytelling. Used thoughtfully, it can serve as a creative springboard, sparking imagination, character exploration, and deeper conversations guided by an adult.
AI PROMPT:
Write a short, age-appropriate story for a child aged [CHILD’S AGE] that is fun, positive, and engaging. My child’s name is [CHILD’S NAME]. They love [CHILD’S FAVORITE ANIMAL], [CHILD’S FAVORITE ACTIVITY OR HOBBY], and [CHILD’S FAVORITE FOOD]. Please make the story take place in [CHILD’S FAVORITE PLACE OR IMAGINARY WORLD], and include a magical item: [SILLY OR MAGICAL OBJECT]. The main character, [CHILD’S NAME], should learn an uplifting lessonabout [A VALUE PARENT WANTS TO TEACH, e.g., kindness, bravery, teamwork]. Make it playful, with easy-to-understand words and a happy ending. Add fun details like [A FUNNY SOUND, OBJECT, OR CREATURE CHILD LOVES] to make it extra exciting.
