Mike Sapperstein, Co-owner of Celebree School of Fishtown, is so happy to serve the families of Fishtown and provide a place to “Protect, Educate and Nurture” every child that walks through the doors. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Public Financial Management from Indiana University Bloomington in 2008, Mike went on to complete his Masters in Accounting from the University of Baltimore in 2012.
While he spent the past 12+ years working as a CPA, Mike unlocked his true passion for education through his volunteer experiences tutoring undergraduate students and coaching youth hockey. It was these experiences that ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in early childhood education.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Mike is a dedicated member of the Jewish Community Services Board, where he serves as Assistant Treasurer, and the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland Alumni Board, where he is the Treasurer. He is passionate about giving back to his community and is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families he serves.
Caroline Sapperstein is thrilled to bring her wealth of knowledge in education to her role as co-owner of Celebree School of Fishtown. Currently a high school social studies teacher at her alma-mater, Caroline is eager to apply her expertise to her new role at Celebree and will be an invaluable asset in the areas of child, parent, and teacher advocacy. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2008 with a degree in Political Science before earning her Masters of Arts in Education from Johns Hopkins University in 2010. Caroline is excited to use her experience in education to help make a positive difference in the lives of the students, families, and educators at her new school.
Mike and Caroline Sapperstein have two wonderful sons, Cormac and Keegan. The family is thrilled to have the opportunity to “Grow People Big and Small”, provide the very best early childhood education experiences for the families of Fishtown, and create a true sense of family within the walls of their school and the greater Fishtown community.
Louis (Lou) Sapperstein is delighted to bring his decades of entrepreneurial expertise to Celebree School of Fishtown as a co-owner. With 45 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and business consultant, Lou founded his regional consulting and CPA firm Rosen, Sapperstein and Friedlander, LLC in 1979 and holds an undergraduate degree from the Merrick School of Business at the University of Baltimore. He is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Lou is a firm believer in the potential of individuals and is passionate about coaching, developing, and supporting the growth of children and adults alike. He truly represents our motto “We Grow People Big and Small”. Lou’s unwavering commitment to providing the best quality of educational experiences to the children of Fishtown is matched only by the determination to invest in his employees, empowering them to reach their greatest potential. Lou’s goal is to cultivate a positive, nurturing environment within the school and community. In his personal life, Lou has been married to his wife Jill since 1977. He enjoys spending time with his three grown children (including Mike) and six grandchildren, who bring him boundless joy.

Hi, my name is Deirdra Williams. I have over a decade of experience in early childhood education, working with children, families, and educators across a variety of settings. Throughout my career, I have served as a Childcare Director, Program Director, Income Maintenance Caseworker, and previously as the Assistant Director of Programs at Federation Early Learning Services. I am now excited to join Celebree School of Fishtown. My work across these roles has strengthened my leadership skills, deepened my knowledge of DHS regulations, and helped me develop effective systems for staff supervision, coaching, and program quality.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Monroe College and a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. I also have extensive knowledge of state regulations, accreditation standards, and behavior-support practices. I have worked with children ranging from 6 weeks old through high school, giving me a broad understanding of developmental needs across ages.
I truly enjoy supporting children and the educators who care for them. Watching children grow, learn, and explore brings me tremendous joy. I believe in creating nurturing, consistent environments where every child feels seen, supported, and valued. I also prioritize building strong partnerships with families to support each child’s development.
Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing my professional growth, giving back to my community, integrating nature into learning, and fostering meaningful interactions across generations. Outside of work, I love traveling, trying new foods, and making joyful memories with the people I care about.
I am grateful for every opportunity I’ve had in this field and look forward to making a positive impact at Celebree School of Fishtown and in the lives of the children and families I serve.
My name is Monique Jones, and I am the proud mother of two beautiful daughters. I have worked in the childcare field for nearly six years, beginning my career as an after-school teacher. Throughout my experience, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
Working with children has strengthened my passion for early childhood education and deepened my commitment to supporting their growth and development. I find great fulfillment in being part of their learning journey, especially as they reach important developmental milestones and achieve their goals.
I am currently continuing my education at Manor College, where I am pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Childcare Administration. My long-term goal is to one day own and operate my own early childhood education program, where I can continue to provide a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for children and families.
