Celebree School of Tysons–Jones Branch Shines with New VQB5 Honor Roll Recognition | Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch

Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch, a leader in early childhood education offering infant and toddler care, preschool and pre-kindergarten, celebrates the prestigious recognition of being honored on the Virginia Quality Birth to 5 (VQB5) Honor Roll for Infant and Toddler Quality.

Behind the Recognition

The VQB5 Honor Roll is awarded on behalf of the Virginia Department of Education and the Division of Early Childhood Care and Education. Based on CLASS® Observations, or the classroom assessment scoring system, this distinction is awarded to programs that score within the top 10% across the state of Virginia. This achievement reflects a deep commitment to fostering high-quality, developmentally supportive environments for Virginia’s youngest learners.

To prepare all children for kindergarten, Virginia’s early childhood system must ensure that all children have quality teaching and learning experiences that meet their unique needs. In response to state law, Virginia has developed the Virginia Quality Birth to Five System (VQB5) to measure and help improve the quality of all publicly funded birth-to-five classrooms and support families to choose quality programming across program types.

“This honor is a testament to our team’s dedication to providing exceptional early education for every child,” said Jacque Teague, Co-Director of Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch. “We understand how formative the early years are and remain deeply committed to advancing high-quality childcare for our community.”

Fostering a Culture of Development

Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch opened in 2021 and has graduated over 80 children from its pre-K program. Serving the McLean community, this location is the first Celebree School in the nation accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) and the first in Virginia to be named to the honor roll.

Winners of Celebree School’s 2025 Grow People Big Award, the school embodies the heart of the brand, not just empowering the children in their care, but the educators too. The school’s strong employee retention rate reflects its commitment to supporting its staff; more than 75% of the school’s teachers have been with the school for over two years, and the entire management team has been with the school since opening in 2021.

“We’ve worked intentionally to cultivate a culture centered on growth and development, and seeing our work recognized by the state is a true reflection of our team’s unwavering dedication,” said Sabrina Morais, co-director of Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch. “At Celebree, we’re equally committed to nurturing our educators as we are our students, empowering both with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive within and beyond the classroom.”

Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch opened in 2021, offering programs for children from six weeks to five years old.
