I have been with Celebree Schools since November 2007 and hold an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am qualified to serve as a Director and teach children of all ages. Additionally, I hold certifications in First Aid & CPR, Medication Administration, and Emergency Preparedness.
I chose to work with children because I love witnessing their growth and learning journeys. A little-known fact about me is that I have three children of my own, and all of them attended Celebree throughout their preschool years.
I am committed to ensuring an exceptional experience for both parents and children at my school every day!
Hello! I’m Katelyn, the School Director here at Celebree School of Forest Hill.
Before I worked at Celebree School I was a special education teacher at a private school for children with Autism. I primarily worked with students between the ages of 16-21. I did this for 9 years and I loved it! I never worked in a childcare setting other than during undergrad when I completed different internships. I graduated undergrad in 2016 with a Bachelors in Family Science with a concentration in Children and Youth. I then went to acquire my Masters in Special Education for Elementary and Middle education in 2020. I graduated in 2023 and it was such a long but rewarding experience. I graduated with my bachelors and masters from Towson University!
I have always had a passion with helping children and youth. My mom was a special educator so I saw from a very young age what a great teacher resembled. I love being around people and understanding the neurological development.
I chose the opportunity with Celebree School because I knew I needed to expand my professional career. I had been teaching for almost 10 years at the same school and although I was extremely happy, it was time for me to move on. I am a person who loves to challenge myself and I knew Celebree would do just that.
My goals and current focus for my current role is to turn a new page with the center. I want to create an open and welcoming environment that resembles open communication, talent, quality, and kindness. I want to make sure our teachers are implementing their lesson plans and the curriculum with fidelity and we are all creating relationships with the families. I want my staff to challenge themselves to apply feedback and to join the pathways that best suit their career journeys. I strive to be the best school with enrollments, Talent, Brand and Class and to always uphold the 3 pillars to educate, nurture, and protect these children.
A few fun facts about me are that I am a mom of 2 and they are my entire world. I have a 4 year old son, Jack and a 1 year old daughter, Lucy. I have been married to my husband for 5 years but we have been on this journey of life together for 13 years. I love trivia and being outside with my family. I am fluent in sign language, and I love riddles and jokes! I watch Jeopardy and Survivor religiously. I am a very easy-going person who is always willing to do more for someone. I hope we can chat soon!
Hello! I’m Ashley and am the Assistant School Director at Celebree School of Forest Hill.
I have been with Celebree School since August 2023. In my time, I have been a two’s teacher, OSM and now Assistant Director. Prior to coming to Celebree, I was in the social work field, as well as being a school age, 4’s, and Infants and Toddlers teacher. I also have my Bachelor’s degree in social work.
I have always known I wanted to work with children, but what lead me to becoming an Assistant Director is knowing that I wanted to create a safe and welcoming place for students to learn, and teachers to feel supported and valued.
In my current role, my goal is to create a family feel atmosphere throughout our center, and a place where parents can know that their child is protected, educated, and nurtured while they are at work.
A fun fact about me is that I like to travel, and I am on the worship team at my church.
