Let’s launch their lifelong love of learning together. Contact us to visit Celebree School of Carney!
I have been with Celebree Schools since July of 2012. I have over 25 years of experience in early childhood education with 13 of those years being at Celebree. My journey began with a love for watching children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. That same passion has grown to include supporting and mentoring others in their careers in Early Childhood Education.
I chose to join Celebree after consistently hearing great things about its culture and commitment to quality education and it has been one of the best decisions of my professional life. I started as an assistant director, moved into a school director role and now I am a District Director.
In my current role, my focus is to support our schools in growing people big and small. I’m passionate about coaching the teams, sharing my knowledge, and creating strong, supportive environments where both staff and children can reach their fullest potential.
My professional journey has been focused on human services, starting with roles like Child Care Specialist, where I supported the ethical treatment of residents and promoted problem-solving. I then moved into management as a Student Life Evening Manager, overseeing a large staff and helping to establish a safe and healthy boarding environment for over 400 students. It was here I learned the value of operational efficiency, implementing new employee scheduling that significantly reduced tardiness and absenteeism, and creating monthly team development.
My experience broadened as a Program Manager/Director of BUGS After-School Program, where I fostered a positive learning environment and oversaw all staff. Most recently, as a Community School Coordinator, I gained deep experience in school reform, community-responsive programming, and family support. This included running a food pantry, developing community partnerships, and utilizing data from bi-annual Needs Assessments and annual Family Surveys to drive operational improvements and accountability. I’m bringing those advanced project management, risk management, and methodology implementation skills to my role as Director.
Regarding my education, I hold a bachelor’s degree in religion from Liberty University.
My passion is fundamentally rooted in the belief that every child deserves a strong foundation to reach their full potential, which I call the “foundation for lifelong learning”. All my previous roles have involved creating safe, nurturing, and quality-driven environments, whether it was helping at-risk residents, managing student life at a boarding school, or coordinating comprehensive services for a community school.
What truly inspires me is the opportunity to nurture people, big and small. Early childhood education isn’t just about academics; it’s about developing the whole person as compassionate, respectful, and confident individuals. I have always used data and systems, like the surveys and assessments in my past roles, to identify barriers and provide the right resources at the right time. The start a child gets in their early years is crucial, and I am driven by the impactful work of shaping that beginning.
I chose Celebree School of Carney because I resonate deeply with the organization’s mission to Protect, Educate, and Nurture. My career has been built on those same core principles. I was looking for a partner that values safety, security, and trust as a top priority, and one that is committed to high-quality education that is process-oriented and curriculum-based.
The opportunity to lead a team in a setting that is viewed as a “second home” for children and families was a major draw. My prior experience in managing programs and developing staff—including coaching teams and leading professional development sessions—makes me the right person to uphold the commitment of growing people big and small.
My primary focus as Director of Celebree School of Carney is to ensure we provide an exceptional experience for both children and parents every day.
My goals center on three key areas:
A fun fact about me is that I have a proven track record of creating systems that just work! For example, in one of my previous roles, I helped lead the creation of a Character Education portfolio to facilitate effective governance and management for the students. Additionally, I love event planning and fellowship.
Hello, I’m Caroline, the School Assistant Director at Celebree School of Carney. I have been in Early Childhood education since 2004 and part of the Celebree family since 2011. My interest in Early Childhood Education began at a young age, inspired by my mom, who worked as a preschool teacher at our local community center. I used to love going to work with her and meeting the children and watching them learn and grow over time. I currently hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from McDaniel College.
Over the time that I have been in Early Childhood Education I have served as an aide, teacher to all age groups (Infants through School age) and now an administrator. I love the hands-on approach that Celebree takes with our curriculum, it allows children to learn, explore, and grow in their own way and at their own pace and show off their own individual personalities.
Welcome to the Celebree School of Carney!
