Confident children are enthusiastic learners, setting the stage for success in school and in life. That’s why building self-esteem is at the core of what we do at Celebree School® of Carney. When you place your child within one of our preschool programs, open to two, three, four and five-year-olds in Carney, MD, they’ll be in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which they feel comfortable exploring, learning, sharing, and growing. It’s through this type of atmosphere – and the enriching experiences provided in it – that they can best prepare for kindergarten.

Within Celebree School of Carney’s preschool programs, we offer a curriculum that has been carefully planned to guide your child’s experience. Each day is well-structured and organized, yet infused with creativity and fun to keep them engaged and on task. They’ll be able to learn at their own pace, while acquiring critical skills in areas such as:

  • Number concepts
  • Literacy and comprehension
  • Communication and expressing their needs
  • Understanding others and cooperation

In Celebree School of Carney’s preschool programs, children learn in many multi-faceted ways, from arts and crafts and sharing stories to hands-on activities, group work, and more. Our aim is to focus on the whole child – academically, socially and personally – and provide a balanced approach to instruction that leads to a love of learning.

Our Carney Preschool Programs Promote Kindergarten Readiness

Your child is developing quickly. Yesterday, they were an infant. Today, you’re talking about kindergarten. With Celebree School of Carney’s preschool programs, you can gain the peace of mind you need that they will be well-prepared.

As your child enters into our preschool programs, our team of educators will evaluate them, so we can understand where they are in terms of development. This enables us to fine-tune our instruction to best meet their learning needs. We’ll also keep track of your child’s development through the Work Sampling System and individual portfolios.

Through our programs, you can expect your child to grow in the following areas:

  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Language and literacy skills
  • Self-help skills
  • Phonetic awareness
  • Imagination and exploration
  • Social skills
  • Self-respect, respect for others and confidence

At Celebree School of Carney, all of our preschool programs follow the Maryland Early Learning Standards and the Delaware Child Care Act for Early Care and Education. From age three and on, we’ll also begin formally sampling and assessing their progress under the Seven Domains of Learning, which evaluate areas such as social development, mathematical thinking, and language and literacy.
