School Owner/Operator

Aiman Siddiqui is an owner at Celebree School of Alexandria. Aiman studied Latin American Literature at the University of Maryland – College Park before going on to pursue a career in manufacturing. During her time in college, she was part of the national service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega (APO) and a volunteer with CASA de Maryland. After having her son in 2023, Aiman found herself in the intersection of language, learning and motherhood as part of a proudly multicultural family. She is passionate about service and creating spaces that inspire children to be confident in their ability to be lifelong learners, knowing that there is always a path to grow – big or small.

Joshua Christian
District Director

Joshua Christian is the District Director of Celebree School of Alexandria. He brings a journey of serendipity and love for education that emerged from the diverse tapestry of his childhood. Hailing from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Joshua, a military child, gracefully navigated seven moves across states, shaping his resilience and adaptability. In the symphony of life, Joshua finds joy in engaging in competitive gym competitions, curating soulful music playlists to reflect his various moods, exploring new eateries across the DMV as a dedicated pescatarian, and savoring the wonders of travel. His roots trace back to the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Linguistics. An unexpected turn led him to an internship in teaching English as a second language, an experience so rewarding that it sparked a transformative shift in his career trajectory. Subsequently, he attended Johns Hopkins University to receive his Master’s degree. Fast forward six years, and Joshua is on the brink of obtaining his Doctoral degree from Grand Canyon University, a testament to his unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth.

Joshua’s journey in education began with teaching K-3 literacy, middle school science, and secondary mathematics. Evolving into various leadership roles, including Instructional Coach, Instructional Specialist, Assistant Principal, Interim Principal, and Regional STEM Achievement Manager, he credits his success to a growth mindset and a guiding motto: entering the classroom with a vision of fostering academic intellect, instilling character-building strategies through SEL, and promoting overall well-being. As Joshua approaches the culmination of his academic journey, he remains steadfast in his commitment to being a transformational leader, leaving an indelible mark on the world and the lives he touches within the Celebree School community.

Maylen Pena
School Director
Maylen is the Director at the Celebree School of Alexandra. She has lifelong roots in the DMV area, married her husband in 2020, and is a mother to her sweet, loveable, and energetic daughter, Valentina. Maylen has over 12 years of experience in the early childhood education industry and has had the privilege of teaching a wide range of ages, from infants to Kindergarten. She has also taught Spanish immersion, music and movement classes for children ages 3-6, and has worked as a reading tutor for young children, specifically at the kindergarten and 1st-grade levels. When she transitioned into education administration and management, Maylen took on roles such as curriculum developer, education administrator, family engagement coordinator, lead educator, instructional coach, and assistant director. She also takes pride in being a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and has experience with supporting high-quality early learning programs attain and maintain prestige accreditations, such as NAEYC.
Maylen holds her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, holds multiple educational, health, and safety certifications and combines academic excellence with hands-on expertise to help build strong, nurturing, and stimulating foundations for all young learners. One of her primary focuses is to ensure that each child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn within an engaging, inclusive, and inspiring environment. She understands the importance of creating a strong school-home partnerships and how crucial it is for a child’s development and overall success. Maylen believes that when children, families, and staff work together in a supportive and encouraging environment, they create a foundation for children that inspires a love for learning.
During her free time, Maylen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, attending theatre plays, horseback riding, and whenever she gets a chance to drive an ATV, she’ll do it! Ultimately, Maylen’s goal is to ensure that every child, no matter their background, has the opportunity to experience high-quality early education that not only respects but also celebrates diversity. She is confident that by creating an inclusive and welcoming environment, every child will feel truly seen, valued, and supported, creating a sense of belonging that will not only spark a deep joy in learning, but it will also help to build strong, meaningful connections. Together,  Maylen believes children, families, and staff can cultivate a vibrant, positive, and uplifting school community where unity and a love for learning flourish, laying the foundation for success, growth, and endless possibilities for all!
