School Director
LaToya Hunter, School Director at Celebree School of Thorndale, brings over 20 years of experience in education to her role. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Cheyney University in 2002 and recently completed her Master’s in Higher Education at Immaculata University in 2024.
LaToya began her career as a lead teacher for two-year-olds and has since held several key positions, including Lead Preschool Teacher and Assistant Director. For more than two decades, she’s been a strong presence on leadership teams in early childhood education-advocating for quality learning environments and ongoing professional development.
Deeply aligned with Celebree’s mission to “Grow People Big and Small,” LaToya is passionate about fostering growth not only in children but also in educators and families. A Chester County native, she was raised in West Chester and now lives in Downingtown, making her work in the local community especially meaningful.
When she’s off the clock, LaToya enjoys family time, word puzzles, good food, and reconnecting with friends.

Assistant School Director
Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Grades Preparation (PreK-4) with a minor in Special Education from West Chester University. Since graduating in 2014, she’s built a well-rounded career in education-beginning as a floating assistant in a daycare, then growing into a lead teacher role, teaching kindergarten enrichment for six years, and later stepping into administration in a school-age program for three years.
Katie is passionate about Celebree’s mission of growing people big and small. She believes in empowering others and is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences not just for children, but also for teachers and families. A lifelong local, Katie grew up in Downingtown and now lives in Coatesville, making her especially excited to serve the community she knows and loves.
When she’s not at Celebree, Katie enjoys time with her family, diving into a good book, solving any kind of puzzle, and cheering on the Phillies.
