We are David and Kelsey Schmeling, Owner/Operator of Celebree School of Grandville. We feel both excited and fortunate to work with children and families in West Michigan! Being a part of the Celebree Community provides us an opportunity to bring a nationally recognized early education model to Michigan. Our school is thoughtfully designed for children and the people who love and care for them!
Kelsey:
I am a native of West Michigan and grew up attending Forest Hills Public Schools. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have built a meaningful career working with various populations throughout Michigan. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Michigan State as well as Master’s of Social Work from Wayne State. My background includes working with children and families, the elderly, and most recently, social work in the hospital setting. I have a passion for helping others as well as fostering social and emotional growth. I am looking forward to connecting with the children and families we serve and being a small part of their journey. As a working mom to three young kids, I understand the emotions and stress that go along with being a working parent. It is my goal to make families feel comfortable and safe knowing that their children’s needs are met both physically and emotionally.
David:
As an “East Sider”, originally from Northville, Michigan, I am thrilled to find myself living and working in West Michigan! I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Michigan State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University. I have had an accomplished career in Treasury, successfully managing the financial needs and goals of companies in various sectors. I bring years of business expertise to ensure our daily operations run seamlessly, transparently, and safely. I have spent my career investing in my team and staff to provide a positive working environment and culture, which I look forward to carrying over into my work with Celebree. I take pride in being a working parent and am eager to support the staff and families within the community.
As a local family, we are looking forward to being hands on and walking this childcare journey with you! As parents of three young kids, we know the struggles of balancing work, family, and finding a childcare center you can trust. As a social worker and business owner we offer a unique balance of creating an empathetic, enriching environment while ensuring operations run smoothly.
