When families tour preschools, they often ask about curriculum, safety, and schedules — and of course those things matter deeply to us.
But what truly shapes a school is how the people inside it are treated.
At Celebree School Franklin–Cool Springs, we didn’t build this school simply to open another business. Chris and I set out to create something meaningful for families, children, and educators in our own community.
That philosophy influences decisions big and small every single day.
When our school closed during the winter ice storm, we still paid our staff. Not because we had to, but because it felt like the right thing to do. I wanted our team to feel cared for and secure, even during an unexpected closure.
We also believe early childhood educators deserve to be invested in professionally, not just appreciated during Teacher Appreciation Week.
That’s why we offer:
- Health care reimbursement support up to $300
- Free professional development courses
- CDA reimbursement bonuses for teachers who complete and pass the program
- 50% off childcare for staff families
Many of our teachers are mothers themselves, and we want high-quality early education to feel accessible for the people caring for children every day.
Our teachers are building careers, not just filling shifts. And when teachers feel supported, children feel it too.
Parents sometimes ask what owning a preschool really looks like behind the scenes. The truth is, like many small business owners, we continue reinvesting into the school — our classrooms, our staff, our programs, and our environment. Every decision we make is centered around building a school we’re proud to send our own children into.
Of course, we hope this business is successful. Sustainability matters. Growth matters.
But success to us looks like:
- Teachers who feel valued
- Children who feel safe and loved
- Families who feel supported
- A school that genuinely becomes part of the community
We know there are many preschool options in Franklin, and we don’t take lightly that families choose us to care for the people they love most.
At the end of the day, what makes a school special isn’t just what’s written in a brochure — it’s the heart behind the decisions being made every day inside the building. I hope families can feel that the moment they walk through our doors.
