Meet Our Childcare Director: A Passion for Early Childhood Education | Celebree School of Franklin-Cool Springs

Some people know immediately what they want to be when they grow up, and if you asked younger Laura what her dream job was, she would say it was to be a nurse. I knew I always wanted to work in a field where I could help others, and that eventually led me to the most rewarding career that quickly became my passion – being the Director of a preschool.

My love for children began with helping my mom at her in-home daycare while also being involved in my high school’s early childhood program. I loved watching young children explore the world around them and their curiosity as they learned new things. The more time I worked with children, the more I realized how special and important the early years of life are and knew that I wanted to be a part of shaping those young minds.

I officially started my professional career in 2014 and have had so many opportunities to grow my career to where I am now! I started as an Assistant Toddler teacher and promoted to Lead Preschool Teacher after gaining more experience in curriculum and classroom management. After teaching for a few years, I joined the administrative side of childcare as an Office Manager, Assistant Director, and now I am proudly serving as the School Director of Celebree School of Franklin-Cool Springs.

While I loved my time in the classroom, accepting a leadership role introduced me to a side of childcare that ignited my passion for the field – supporting the amazing educators that are the heart of everything we do. My role as Director allows me to mentor them, help them Grow Big in their careers, and provide the support and encouragement that they need to succeed. The support that I can give is meaningful to me in so many ways. Being able to celebrate our team and witness them pouring love into their students every day is one of the more rewarding parts of my job!

At Celebree School of Franklin-Cool Springs, the things that I love most is the community we’ve built in only 7 months since opening our doors. Our Core Values (Protect, Educate, Nurture) are the guide for everything we do each and every day. Not only are we focused on helping children learn and grow but we are also committed to cheering our teachers on as they grow their careers.

My biggest hope for every family that walks through our doors is that they feel at home. I want them to experience the community we’ve built, the laughter of the children as they engage in new learning experiences, and the love that fills our hallway and every classroom. Most of all, I want parents and families to know that their children are in loving and nurturing environments with a team that cares and is passionate about what they do each and every day.

To our current families – thank you so much for being a part of our community and entrusting us with your sweet children every day. To our future families – we hope to meet you soon officially welcome you to our Celebree family!
