Communication That Supports Growth
At Celebree School of Columbia-South, we believe communication does more than share updates, it builds trust, strengthens relationships, and supports each child’s development
Above all, we know strong family partnerships form the foundation of excellent early education. For this reason, we strive to provide meaningful Parent Child Teacher Experiences (PCTE) for every family. When parents feel informed and involved, children benefit from a unified and nurturing environment both at home and at school.
Therefore, we prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly communication to ensure families feel informed, valued, and included every step of the way.
Daily Sheets: A Shared Conversation
Each day, families receive a detailed Daily Sheet that provides a window into their child’s day. These updates include:
- A curriculum-based photo
- Nap information
- Potty updates
- Meal and snack details
- Important reminders
However, Daily Sheets are more than simple reports, they create an ongoing conversation. Through these daily touchpoints, we celebrate milestones, monitor developmental progress, and respond promptly to changes in routine or behavior.
Rather than waiting for scheduled conferences, these updates allow us to address questions and collaborate in real time. As a result, we strengthen trust and provide thoughtful, individualized support for every child.
Weekly Friday Communication
In addition to classroom communication, families receive a “Weekly Friday Communication” update through Tadpoles. These updates highlight:
- Upcoming events
- School-wide celebrations
- Curriculum themes
- Important reminders
While Daily Sheets focus on individual classrooms, Weekly Friday Communication provides a broader look at our school community. As a result, families stay connected not only to their child’s classroom, but also to the culture and priorities we intentionally build throughout Columbia-South.
Staying Connected Through Social Media
Because we value community and transparency, we also connect with families through our Facebook and Instagram pages!
Through social media, families can:
- See lessons and activities in action
- Celebrate classroom milestones
- Stay informed about upcoming programs
- Experience the energy and warmth of our school
These platforms offer a glimpse into the everyday moments that shape our learning environment and strengthen our sense of community.
School Family Committee: A Collaborative Partnership
Finally, our School Family Committee (SFC) meets monthly to ensure families have a direct voice in shaping the school experience. Similar to a PTA, this group creates a space for collaboration between our school leadership and families.
During these meetings, we:
- Discuss school priorities
- Gather parent feedback
- Identify opportunities for growth
- Strengthen community involvement
This partnership allows us to continuously improve while remaining aligned with the needs and values of our families.
At Celebree School of Columbia-South, communication serves as the foundation of our partnership with families, rooted in trust, transparency, and collaboration.
