At Celebree School of Columbia North, the weekend of October 31 and November 1, 2025, was full of excitement, celebration, and meaningful community connections. As we continue growing in Howard County, these moments remind us why we love what we do; creating joyful experiences and giving back to families we serve.
Our journey: Three Years of Growth and Community
This past August, Celebree School of Columbia North proudly entered its third year. Like any new school, our journey has brough challenges, learning moments, and opportunities for growth. Through the journey, one focus that has remained constant is our commitment to our families and our community.
Every year, the start of October brings special energy to our school. Our teachers, children, and families look forward to a season full of creativity, laughter, and traditions that bring everyone together.
Celebrating Traditions: Halloween Fun Trough the Years
When our school first opened, we launched a Halloween Parade, inviting families inside to celebrate with their children. Parents filled the classrooms with joy as they watched their little ones show off all their amazing costumes like their favorite cartoon characters to magical heroes. It quickly became a special moment for many families.
By our second year, and again this year, we shifted to a Trunk-or-Treat celebration. As our school continues to grow, this tradition has allowed families to be even more involved in not only supporting their own child but also helping create a fun and welcoming experience for all the children in the center and the surrounding community. Trunk-or-Treat has become a beloved event where parents decorate their trunks, hand out treats, and enjoy being part of a larger celebration.

Fall Fest: A Growing Annual Tradition
Each year, around the same time, we also host our annual Fall Fest, a tradition that has grown alongside our school. Our first Fall Fest was organized by our internal team as we learned what activities our families enjoyed most. Today, it has expanded into an exciting community event.
For the past two years, we’ve partnered with Willy Woo Woo, who brings a petting zoo, magical shows, and interactive activities by adding even more joy to the day. The event has become a wonderful way for families to come together and feel a sense of belonging.
Building Community Partnerships
This year, we also participated in Bridgeway Community Church’s Candy Fest, a vibrant event that brings families together from across Howard County. As we grow, we aim to be more involved in local events and collaborate with community partners who share our commitment to supporting children and families.
We are grateful to work with organizations such as Big Blue Swim School and Pediatric Dentistry of Columbia, who join us during events to share valuable resources. We understand that for new parents and families who have recently moved to the area, finding the right services can feel overwhelming. Our goal is to help connect families with the tools and support they need for their children to learn, grow and thrive.
Our Mission: Connection, Support & Community
Every event we host or participate in is built on our mission: to bring families together, strengthen community connections, and support each child’s developmental journey. Whether it’s a parade, a trunk-or-treat, or a large fall festival, we want our families to build relationships, discover resources, and feel truly supported.
We look forward to continuing these traditions, expanding our community involvement, and creating even more meaningful experiences for our families. Follow us on social media to see when our next community event is so you can join our school family in celebration!
