I have an A.A. in Early Childhood Education. I hold my certifications in Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, School Age and Director Qualifications. I have my Administration Admin Certificate. First Aid and CPR. I have been working with children for over 10 years now. I started at Celebree School as an Assistant Director, worked my way into the Director role and now serve as a District Director for Anne Arundel County, PG County and Delaware Schools.
Being able to see the progress a child makes from the moment they start to the moment they leave inspires my passion for childcare. It shows me that I truly made a difference in each child’s life that walked through the doors.
I chose to join Celebree School for the growth opportunity. I was working at The Goddard School prior to joining Celebree and had no opportunity for growth. I then saw Celebree School’s Grow People Big mission and went with it. I haven’t turned back since.
My goal and focus in my current role as a D.D. is to ensure all our schools support the Celebree Mission and to have Celebree be a leader in early childhood education.
Some fun facts about me are that I have a twin sister, I was born on Christmas eve, I love to hunt and fish, and I’m a mom to one little boy. On the weekends, and in my free time, you can always find me down the eastern shore at our family farm.
Cecilia joined the Celebree School family in 2026, bringing a strong foundation in early childhood education and a passion for building high-quality, child-centered learning environments. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Management and Leadership, reflecting her commitment to continuous growth and instructional excellence. Throughout her career, Cecilia has worked across a variety of early learning settings, developing expertise in curriculum implementation, team development, family engagement, and operational leadership.
Cecilia’s passion for early childhood education is rooted in her belief that the earliest years of a child’s life set the foundation for lifelong learning, confidence, and success. She is deeply inspired by the opportunity to support not only children, but also families and educators, ensuring that each feels valued, supported, and empowered within the school community.
She chose to join Celebree School because of its commitment to excellence, intentional teaching practices, and focus on creating a nurturing, collaborative culture for children, families, and staff. Cecilia is especially aligned with Celebree’s emphasis on relationships, structure, and high expectations, and she is excited to contribute to a school community that prioritizes both academic growth and emotional well-being.
In her current role, Cecilia is focused on strengthening school culture, supporting staff growth and leadership development, enhancing family communication, and ensuring consistent, high-quality classroom experiences across the school. She is committed to creating clear expectations, sustainable systems, and a positive environment where educators feel supported and children can truly thrive.
Affectionately known as “Mrs. Cece,” Cecilia is recognized for her warm, approachable leadership style and her ability to build meaningful connections. Outside of work, she is a dedicated volunteer in animal rescue, has served on rescue boards, and has been helping animals and families through rescue efforts for over a decade. She has traveled cross-country across the United States, as well as to Puerto Rico and Bulgaria, supporting transport and community outreach efforts, often bringing her six rescue dogs along for the journey. She also brings along her stuffed dog, Perrito, gifted to her by a former student, as a reminder of the difference she makes in children’s lives. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs, bringing the same compassion, energy, and care to her personal life as she does to her work each day.
Cecilia is proud to be a part of the Celebree School family.
My journey in early childhood education began long before my first official job. I started by volunteering at my mom’s home childcare center, which sparked my passion for working with young children. I officially entered the field at 15 and joined Celebree School in December 2020 as an Aide.
While working at Celebree, I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. During that time, I also completed coursework to earn my Infant & Toddler and Preschool certifications. With those qualifications, I became a Lead Nursery Teacher.
From there, I continued to grow within the company, stepping into the role of Office Support, then becoming an Operations Support Manager (OSM), and now serving as Assistant Director. Each step of the way, Celebree School has supported my professional development and fueled my passion for early childhood education.
What inspires my passion for early childhood education is knowing that I play a meaningful role in shaping the future. The first five years of a child’s life are critical for their development, and being able to support, guide, and nurture them during that time is such a privilege. Watching children grow, learn, and discover the world around them, knowing I had a part in that journey is incredibly rewarding and fuels my dedication every single day.
I chose Celebree School because of its “Grow Big” promise and the genuine family atmosphere it provides. I truly appreciate the time, dedication, and support Celebree invests in its team, and how committed they are to helping each individual grow. I began my journey as an Aide, and with Celebree School’s guidance and encouragement, I’ve grown into my current role as Assistant Director. Every school I’ve been a part of has felt like home, and I know I can always count on anyone in the organization for support.
My goal in my current role is to create a loving, supportive environment not only for the children and families we serve, but also for the staff. I want each team member to know that I’m here to work alongside them and to support them in every way possible. Building strong relationships and fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere is at the heart of everything I do.
A fun fact about me is that I like to collect cups! I have endless Stanleys and Starbucks tumblers. I also love to travel with family especially for football games, my favorite place I’ve been to for a game is Dallas!
