Let’s launch their lifelong love of learning together. Contact us to visit Celebree School of Bel Air South-Laurel Bush!
I have been with Celebree Schools since November 2007 and hold an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am qualified to serve as a Director and teach children of all ages. Additionally, I hold certifications in First Aid & CPR, Medication Administration, and Emergency Preparedness.
I chose to work with children because I love witnessing their growth and learning journeys. A little-known fact about me is that I have three children of my own, and all of them attended Celebree School throughout their preschool years.
I am committed to ensuring an exceptional experience for both parents and children at my school every day.
Hi! My name is Rachel Subers, and I am the Head Center Director at Celebree School of Laurel Bush. I graduated from Towson University with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Reading Education. I spent the last decade teaching in Baltimore County Public Schools as a Kindergarten teacher, First Grade teacher, and Special Educator supporting Pre-K and Kindergarten students. One of my greatest passions is teaching children how to read. I absolutely love phonics instruction and am trained in Orton-Gillingham, which has helped shape my belief that every child can become a confident learner with the right support and encouragement.
Originally from Long Island, New York, I moved to Maryland to attend Towson University and have called Maryland home ever since. Joining Celebree School was a very personal decision for me because it gave me the opportunity to work in the same environment where my two daughters attend school each day. Being able to play a firsthand role in their early education journey while also supporting other families in our community means so much to me. As educators, we spend such a large part of our lives caring for and teaching other people’s children, and I wanted to be part of a school that truly feels like an extension of family.
My goals for Laurel Bush are centered around building strong relationships, supporting our incredible staff, and creating the very best experience possible for our children and families. I believe families deserve a school environment where they feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely connected every step of the way.
A few fun facts about me: I put hot sauce on almost everything I eat, I love spending time on the water or at the beach, and I’m secretly a huge weather geek who checks the forecast every single day. My husband, Dan, and I stay busy with our two daughters, along with our two black labs, Gunner and Jett, who are a big part of our family!
Hi, my name is Mercedes, and I have been working in the childcare field for 11 years, with the last 3 years proudly spent with Celebree Schools. My journey with Celebree began as a teacher at our Forest Hill location, and through our pathways for growth, I was able to advance into an OSM role and now serve as the Assistant Director here at Celebree School of Laurel Bush! I have my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently working toward my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
My passion for working with children truly comes from wanting to be a consistent and trusted person in their lives. Children spend 40 or more hours with us each week, and I believe our school should feel like a second home; a place where they feel safe, loved, supported, and valued. Building strong relationships and earning their trust is something I hope they will carry with them for a lifetime.
I chose Celebree School because of the incredible growth opportunities we provide for both our employees and our children. There is always support, encouragement, and continued learning available to help everyone reach their fullest potential.
My goal here at Laurel Bush is to continue growing our school family and create an experience that our children, families, and staff can be proud of. I want to help build a community centered around happiness, education, meaningful relationships, and supporting our littlest learners every step of the way.
A Few Fun Facts About Me!
I have two dogs who are absolutely my life. They are a White German Shepherd and a German Shepherd/Husky mix! And if you know me, you know I am a cheese connoisseur! I love trying different types of cheese and discovering new favorites.
I am so excited to continue growing, learning, and building our Laurel Bush family. I can’t wait to get to know all of our amazing children, families, and staff!
