When it comes to getting your child ready for kindergarten, they need more than just academic skills. Confidence, self-respect, and communication are also critical to ensure they’re well-prepared for the road ahead. At Celebree School® of Bel Air South-Laurel Bush, those are all cornerstones of our curriculum. With our preschool programs, open to children in Bel Air, MD, we’ve cultivated a safe, nurturing community environment in which your child can develop and thrive in these key areas.

At Celebree School of Bel Air South-Laurel Bush, our preschool programs are known for our high standards. Our focus is to provide a well-rounded education in a fun, creative atmosphere. During their day with us, your child will be building vital kindergarten readiness skills in literacy, numbers, cooperation, and more. At the same time, they’ll be mastering them through enriching hands-on activities, including play time, group work, and arts and crafts. This empowers them to learn in different ways and develop in multi-faceted areas, from socially and cognitively to emotionally and physically.

Our Bel Air Preschool Programs Promote Kindergarten Readiness

It might be hard to believe that your child is getting ready for kindergarten. But if you want them well-prepared, there’s no better place than the preschool programs at Celebree School of Bel Air South-Laurel Bush.

As they transition into our programs, our team of educators will be adding more structure to their day, as well as identifying where they are developmentally. This helps ensure we’re supporting their individual learning needs and puts them on the path to becoming an independent learner.

Through our preschool programs, which follow Maryland Early Learning Standards, we focus on helping your child to:

  • Improve language and literacy skills
  • Gain self-help and communication skills
  • Enhance gross and fine motor skills through play and other activities
  • Strengthen phonetic awareness in areas such as reading and math
  • Create, explore and imagine through a range of activity centers

As they move through our preschool programs, open to children who are two, three, four and five, educators at our School in Bel Air use individual portfolios and the Work Sampling System to document progress. From age three and on, our team will more formally sample and assess development in the Seven Domains of Learning.
