You want a safe, stimulating environment in which your child can develop and thrive as they prepare for kindergarten. Our top priority at Celebree School® of Bel Air is to provide it. Through our preschool programs – open to children ages two, three, four, and five in Bel Air, MD – we’re dedicated to offering the kind of rich learning atmosphere where your child feels comfortable exploring, confident sharing, and encouraged to learn at their own pace.
Through our preschool programs, Celebree School of Bel Air takes a hands-on, balanced approach that focuses on skill-building in a range of areas. This includes:
- Numbers and literacy
- Independence
- Respect for others
- Cooperation and communication
At the same time, we also combine instruction with plenty of fun-filled, creative activities to ensure your child remains curious, engaged and on track. This facilitates the development of happy, well-rounded, self-assured children ready to enter kindergarten.
Our Bel Air Preschool Programs Promote Kindergarten Readiness
Kindergarten has changed in many ways in just the past few years alone. With Celebree School of Bel Air’s preschool programs, we can ensure your child is well-prepared for all that comes their way as they embark on this new journey. To help them get there, our educators will assess your individual child, so we have an understanding of where they are developmentally. This then informs the instruction and guidance we’ll be providing them, all so it best suits their needs.
Through our preschool programs – which adhere to Maryland Early Learning Standards, as well as the Delaware Child Care Act for Early Care and Education – Celebree School of Bel Air will focus on helping your child to:
- Improve their language, literacy and social skills.
- Explore, create and imagine through a variety of available activity centers.
- Enhance gross and fine motor skills through arts and crafts and play time.
- Gain confidence and self-help skills.
- Advance language and literacy skills.
- Use phonetic awareness to strengthen reading, math, and science skills.
To ensure your child is progressing appropriately in these key areas, we use the Work Sampling System and individual portfolios to monitor their progress. Once they enter into the three-year-old program and throughout the rest of our program, we will also begin collecting more formal samples of their work to evaluate their development in the Seven Domains of Learning.
