Let’s launch their lifelong love of learning together. Contact us to visit Celebree School of Waverly Woods!
I have been with Celebree Schools since July of 2012. I have over 25 years of experience in early childhood education with 13 of those years being at Celebree. My journey began with a love for watching children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. That same passion has grown to include supporting and mentoring others in their careers in Early Childhood Education.
I chose to join Celebree School after consistently hearing great things about its culture and commitment to quality education and it has been one of the best decisions of my professional life. I started as an assistant director, moved into a school director role and now I am a District Director.
In my current role, my focus is to support our schools in growing people big and small. I’m passionate about coaching the teams, sharing my knowledge, and creating strong, supportive environments where both staff and children can reach their fullest potential.
I have worked for Celebree Schools since October of 2018, where I joined the Celebree School of Frederick as a Teacher fresh out of school training. Prior to working with Celebree School, I had toured the Frederick school as a new mom and had planned to start my own infant with the school. As life happens, plans fell through and Celebree went to the back burner for a few years. Through life’s many twists and turns, I chose to take some courses at Frederick Community College that would assist with getting me into a new career path. Towards the end of those courses, the program advisor let me know that the Celebree School in Frederick was hiring, and I took that as a sign that it was time.
Up until then, I had been in various leadership roles, with a background in stage and theatre management, and knew that one day I would be sitting in the Directors seat that was across from me during my interview. At the time, I had not worked with groups of children, but felt drawn to it over the first few years of raising my own daughter. I had always enjoyed her WOW moments and watching her learn and grow. After a few years, the opportunity to move into the role of Assistant School Director at the Celebree School of Mt Airy had opened up and been offered to me. I was excited to grow and have that next big step into leadership in the field that I had now spent a few years navigating and learning about.
I spent about 3 years at the Mt. Airy school learning from various leaders in the company and always strived to do better and do more. After assisting a few other school locations to get up and running, I was offered by next big role, the School Director at Celebree School of Waverly Woods. I joined Waverly Woods in January 2025 and felt as though I finally had a school to call my own. I have very much enjoyed being able to grow with this team and join the school family.
In 2025, I grew not only professionally into the Director role, but personally as well after getting married in August. We have officially grown our own family for a total of 7 and we are growing our school family each day as well.
My goal for the team and the school is to create memories that bond us in the moment and last a lifetime. We are also working hard to create a community bond and be the face of the community with local partnerships.
I began my career working one-on-one with children with special needs. Wanting to explore a new path, I joined Celebree School as an Aide and worked my way up to Teacher, then School Support Manager, and now I’m the Assistant Director at the Waverly Woods school.
My passion for early childhood education comes from watching children grow and seeing the progress they make in my care. It’s rewarding to know I’m making a positive impact every day.
I was drawn to Celebree School because of its strong focus on growth, both professionally and educationally. The opportunities here have helped me become not only a better teacher but also a stronger leader.
In my current role, my goal is to ensure families feel comfortable and supported, knowing their children are receiving quality care and education. I also aim to help teachers grow and reach their full potential.
A fun fact about me is that I have two cats!
