Preschool Programs in Woodstock: Combining Education and Fun

The preschool years are a time of significant growth and development. It’s important to ensure your child is in a safe, enriching environment in which they feel comfortable. You’ll find it at Celebree School® of Woodstock. With our preschool programs, instilling a sense of confidence is central to what we do. Whether your child is busy creating, exploring, sharing, or skill-building, they’ll gain the self-esteem they need in our programs, so they’re well-prepared when they first step into the kindergarten classroom.

To engage your child, our School in Woodstock takes a balanced approach to instruction. We provide many hands-on opportunities and experiences that combine education with plenty of fun, too. This sets the stage for more success in the classroom and enables your child to gain the kindergarten readiness skills they need at a pace that works for them. Some key areas we focus on include: cooperation and communication, learning about number concepts, and improving literacy.

Our Woodstock Preschool Programs Promote Kindergarten Readiness

As your child begins our preschool programs, our team of educators will ensure they have the support needed for a successful transition. We’ll be adding more structure to their day and encouraging them to slowly yet steadily become an independent learner. Along the way, our teachers will be assessing their progress using the Work Sampling System and individual portfolios.

Through the preschool programs at our School in Woodstock, we focus on:

  • Teaching self-help skills and improved language and social skills.
  • Fostering stronger fine and gross motor skills through a variety of playtime activities.
  • Advancing literacy and language skills through group work.
  • Improving phonetic awareness in reading, as well as math and science.
  • Enhancing self-confidence and social skills.

At Celebree School of Woodstock, our preschool programs are available to children, beginning at age two and through age five. Once your child turns three, we’ll also begin sampling their development and monitoring their progress in the Seven Domains of Learning. These are a part of the Maryland Early Learning Standards, which we adhere to, and used as the basis for the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment.

To find out more about our preschool programs – offered to families across Woodstock, Waverly Woods, and Marriottsville, MD – or to schedule a visit, call Celebree School of Woodstock today at (410) 480-5400. We look forward to meeting your family!
