Mike Sapperstein, Co-owner of Celebree School of Wayne, is so happy to serve the families of Wayne and provide a place to “Protect, Educate and Nurture” every child that walks through the doors. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Public Financial Management from Indiana University Bloomington in 2008, Mike went on to complete his Masters in Accounting from the University of Baltimore in 2012.
While he spent the past 12+ years working as a CPA, Mike unlocked his true passion for education through his volunteer experiences tutoring undergraduate students and coaching youth hockey. It was these experiences that ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in early childhood education.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Mike is a dedicated member of the Jewish Community Services Board, where he serves as Assistant Treasurer, and the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland Alumni Board, where he is the Treasurer. He is passionate about giving back to his community and is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families he serves.
Louis (Lou) Sapperstein is delighted to bring his decades of entrepreneurial expertise to Celebree School of Wayne as a co-owner. With 45 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and business consultant, Lou founded his regional consulting and CPA firm Rosen, Sapperstein and Friedlander, LLC in 1979 and holds an undergraduate degree from the Merrick School of Business at the University of Baltimore. He is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Lou is a firm believer in the potential of individuals and is passionate about coaching, developing, and supporting the growth of children and adults alike. He truly represents our motto “We Grow People Big and Small”. Lou’s unwavering commitment to providing the best quality of educational experiences to the children of Fishtown is matched only by the determination to invest in his employees, empowering them to reach their greatest potential. Lou’s goal is to cultivate a positive, nurturing environment within the school and community. In his personal life, Lou has been married to his wife Jill since 1977. He enjoys spending time with his three grown children (including Mike) and six grandchildren, who bring him boundless joy.
After 30+ years in Early Childhood education, I’ve pretty much seen it all – and I still love every single minute of it. For me, working with children is the absolute best because of their pure honesty and genuine fun they bring to everything they do.
As a proud West Chester University alumni, my career has taken me from teaching special education for 6 years to teaching PreK and running camps. Armed with a degree in Health and Physical Education, my goal has always been to keep children moving, learning, and thriving.
When I’m not at school, I’m usually staying active outdoors, with hiking being my favorite escape. I am happily married and a proud mom of three: my oldest daughter lives in Arizona with her husband and two grandchildren; my middle daughter lives in Philadelphia and is making me a grandparent again in 2026; and my youngest is currently playing football at McDaniel College. Needless to say, football is a huge part of my life – and when autumn rolls around, you can absolutely find me cheering on the Eagles!
I’m Tina, the Assistant School Director at the Celebree School of Wayne. I bring over 10 years of experience in education and student development across a wide range of age groups. I bring a refined, intentional approach to program leadership.
My expertise lies in designing elegant, developmentally rich environments, and curating a curriculum that blends academic readiness, exploration, and emotional intelligence.
I am passionate about cultivating a culture of excellence – one where educators feel inspired, children empowered, and families confident that their child is receiving the highest standard of early education.
I am honored to be a part of the Celebree team and cannot wait to watch the Celebree School of Wayne family grow and prosper.
In my space time, I enjoy spending quality, intentional time with my family. I also enjoy refurbishing antiques and furniture on the side. Shopping, trying new foods, hiking, kayaking, reading, running, and swimming are just a few other fun activities that I enjoy. My love for animals has inspired me to have a long term goal of owning a farm in the future as well. Above all of my passions, early childhood education is by far the most prevalent.
