At the core of what we do, is to build confidence. As educators, we know that self-esteem sets the stage for success as your child embarks on the path to kindergarten and future learning.

Throughout our preschool programs, Celebree School of Eldersburg takes a holistic approach to learning. Our goal is to develop well-rounded children who are independent, curious, have a strong sense of community, and attain the skills they need for kindergarten. These include in areas such as number concepts, literacy, communication, cooperation, and more.

While educating is our goal, we’re having fun too with a variety of hands-on activities designed to promote exploration, imagination, and creativity. At Celebree School of Eldersburg, your child will get a great start that will serve as a launching pad for a lifetime of learning.

Our Eldersburg Preschool Programs Promote Kindergarten Readiness

Preschool is a critical time in your child’s education. It requires just the right balance of structure and engagement in order for them to take that next big step, become an independent learner and transition into kindergarten. Our teachers begin the process by determining the developmental level of your child, so they can properly plan ahead to meet their learning needs. We’ll then document and keep track of progress with the Work Sampling System and individual portfolios.

Whatever age or stage your child is at, the preschool program at our School in Eldersburg places a focus on:

  • Social and emotional development
  • Language and literacy development through group and classroom activities
  • Fine and gross motor skill advancement with play time and arts and crafts
  • Expressing creativity in a variety of hands-on activity centers
  • Gaining self-help and communication skills
  • Strengthening self-confidence

Starting at age three, and throughout Celebree preschool programs, we’ll collect samples of your child’s progress to assess their development across the Seven Domains of Learning. These include areas such as language and literacy, mathematical thinking, scientific thinking, and others. Beyond gauging their development, this also helps you understand their strengths and challenges, so you can extend learning at home.
