The holiday season brings joy and warmth to many families, but for us at Celebree School of Stafford, it’s also a time to reinforce something deeper than tradition: the power of community through giving.
As educators, we believe it is essential to teach our future generation about empathy, compassion, and connection and that begins with early community engagement. Through this project, we are not just supporting families; we are helping our students understand that they have the power to uplift their neighborhoods.
As educator Felicia Gordon reminds us, building empathy early helps children grow into adults who value acceptance, tolerance, and the ability to relate meaningfully to others.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Kate Waller Barrett Elementary for their partnership and support in helping us reach 15 families in need through our food drive, all the while giving our students an opportunity to learn, give back, and grow closer to their local community.
