Every year,\u00a0we gather all of our franchise owners of the\u00a0Celebree\u00a0School network together to learn, connect, and grow at our Grow Big Conference.\u00a0Celebree\u00a0School of\u00a0Reston\u00a0is honored to share that our owner,\u00a0<\/span>Josephine Kibe Johnson<\/span>, was nominated to win the\u00a0Grow Big Award.\u00a0This award\u00a0celebrates owners who are dedicated to the professional and personal development of their team. Hear from\u00a0<\/span>Josephine\u00a0<\/span>on their thoughts on what this award means to them.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What does \u201cgrowing people big\u201d mean to you as a leader in your school?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

“For me, it means investing in my team\u2014my managers and teachers. Truly intentionally equipping my team with the tools and resources that set them up for success and growth. It is important that I model for my managers what I want to see\u00a0happen, and this means delegating responsibility to them and growing them so that they can do the same for my teachers. My teachers are the CEOs of their classrooms, and as such, they are empowered and have the confidence, skills, and authority to make decisions, not just follow directions.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Can you share a moment where you saw a team member grow in a way that made you especially proud?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

“Our Assistant Director started off two years ago as an assistant infant teacher, then became a toddler teacher, then a school support manager, eventually becoming the AD. Our\u00a0Director\u00a0started as an assistant director and is now growing to become the district director.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How has\u00a0investing\u00a0in your team\u00a0impacted\u00a0the experience for children and families in your school?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

“There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a family come in for a tour and, just from interacting with my teachers and management, they are convinced that we are the right school for them. We encourage transparency and one-on-one communication between our teachers and our parents because we have empowered our teachers to take true ownership of their classrooms. Investing in my team has strengthened the quality and consistency of our classrooms, which directly enhances the experience for children and families.<\/span> “<\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
