Summer Camp 2026 at Celebree School of Reston | Celebree School of Reston

We are now accepting enrollment for Summer Camp at Celebree School of Reston!

Our Summer Camp 2026 theme is Myths and Legends. We have fun themes spread throughout 11 weeks, from June 22nd to August 21st. These will include Wild West, Unicorns and Dragons, Making Magic, Fairytales, Superheroes & Villains, and more! Our goal is to create an experience for children that is fun, but still structured and skill development focused.

When it comes to cognitive development, we foster critical thinking and curiosity by encouraging children to ask questions and find solutions to problems. In week 10, Spy Week, we will involve logical reasoning, collaboration, and communication among friends to solve problems.

Our focus is to enhance language and literacy skills as well by expanding our children’s vocabulary through reading, writing, and telling stories. Week 7 focuses on Fairytales (Myths & Legends of literature), which includes princesses, castles, and the enchanted woods. In these sessions, we will be developing listening skills, presentation skills, and following directions.

Another area that we focus on is social & emotional development. It is an opportunity for children to make friends and create long-lasting relationships. Our weekly themes, such as Superheroes and Villains (Week 8) and Making Magic (Week 6), will encourage children to work together through role-playing, which helps them manage emotions and develop empathy.

Confidence building is also strongly emphasized in our Summer Camp. We encourage the children to take part in decision-making and contribute ideas on ways to be helpful around the school and in the classroom. We trust them with tasks that are age-appropriate and fun! A key mission for Celebree is to nurture and protect our children. As such, we have safe spaces where children can have alone time and decompress.

It is so important that all children develop physical and motor skills. This summer’s program also focuses on outdoor activities. We have sports partners who offer soccer camps within our own camp, along with pool and water activities for the warm summer days! We encourage movement-based activities, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Summer Camp fun is enhanced through learning beyond the classroom by taking purposeful field trips. We normally visit museums, zoos, state parks, nature trails, fire stations, and libraries. The field trips focus on building environmental knowledge, critical thinking, listening skills, community awareness, and respect. Activities such as visiting a public library provide enriching experiences for the children and are useful in encouraging them to read and develop language.

We have structured our Summer Camp in such a way that it develops our children’s leadership skills, which enables them to develop their character and lead with confidence and self-assurance. All the weekly themes have teamwork and collaboration intertwined in the curriculum. In addition, we ensure that responsibility and accountability are emphasized, especially during field trips.

We look forward to creating long-lasting memories this summer. Enrollment is now open, and we encourage you to visit our school and bring your children to see our beautiful school-age classroom!
