Hello! I’m Edward Johnson. My wife Josephine and I run Celebree School of Reston. We built Celebree Reston to be the preschool/childcare center we wanted for our own kids. We accept infants through pre-K. When visiting, you’ll find we have warm teachers, small ratios, strong safety, and clear two-way communication.
For academics, we use the Creative Curriculum, a play-based approach that weaves in STEM thinking—hands-on exploration, early math and science, literacy, art, and problem-solving—so children grow in confidence and are kindergarten-ready when they progress through our Pre-K program.
One of my favorite things about Creative Curriculum is how concrete it is: we set up purposeful “interest areas” (blocks, dramatic play, discovery/science, art, library, and math/manipulatives), teachers guide month-long studies tied to real life (buildings, trees, simple machines), and we use clear objectives to track growth in social-emotional skills, language, literacy, math, and motor development. This allows us to individualize goals, document learning with real observations and photos, and share specific progress with families—not vague, generic updates.
You’ll also find that our classrooms are bright and calm, the building is secure, and we get outside whenever the weather cooperates. Also, we’re open every day from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, which many families who commute to and from work can appreciate. If you’re searching for a fun, nurturing, and safe learning environment for your little one, please come visit us here at Celebree School of Reston.
