Meet Britt McKenzie

Your School Owner/Operator


Britt McKenzie

Britt McKenzie is the Owner-Operator of Celebree School of Owings Mills. Britt grew up in Frostburg, MD and moved to the Baltimore-Metropolitan area in 1998 after graduating college. Britt and his wife Sheri currently reside in Eldersburg, MD with their two daughters, Margaux (16) and Caroline (14.)

Britt is actively involved in all operations of The Celebree School of Owings Mills and sees his commitment to the School as a way to use the skills gained during his career to serve families who live and work in the Owings Mills Community. Britt was a Sr. Executive for a large corporation dedicated to customer service, sales and employee development. Britt is very excited to have the opportunity to provide the very best early childhood education experience for students, while creating a true sense of community within the School.

Britt graduated from Frostburg State University with a degree in Political Science and History and is a member of the Phi Alpha Theta Historical Honor Society. Britt has volunteered with the Maryland Food Bank and the Special Olympics of Maryland. In his spare time you can find Britt working around the house on DIY projects, golfing and spending time with family.

Meet Katie Brooks

Your School Director


Miss Katie has been with Celebree Schools since July of 2007. In September 2021, she joined the team at Celebree School of Owings Mills. She has a Master of Education. She is also qualified as a teacher in Infants/Toddlers, Preschool and School Age, as well as a Director.  Katie currently holds certifications in First Aid & CPR, Medication Administration, Breastfeeding, Developmental Screening, SIDS, Health, Basic Health, Safety, & Nutrition, Emergency Disaster Preparedness, and Including all Children and the ADA. Miss Katie says she chose to work with children because “I wanted to play a part in the future. Early Childhood sets the pace for what happens in the future.  I am passionate about the education of young children and preparing them for what is ahead.” We are so happy to have Miss Katie leading our team of educators!
