Puja and Arpit Patel are the Owner-Operators of Celebree School of Laurel. Puja grew up in Virginia and moved to Maryland marrying Arpit in 2012. Arpit was born and raised in India and came to the United States in 2003. Arpit and Puja currently reside in Severn, MD with their two sons, Krish (5) and Tanush (3).
Puja and Arpit are actively involved in all operations of Celebree School of Laurel and see their commitment to the School as a way to use the skills gained during their careers to sever the families who live and work in the Laurel community. Puja worked in the Therapeutic Recreation field and Arpit worked in accounting before they decided to take on the challenge of opening Celebree School of Laurel, Arpit currently owns fast-food chains. They are both very excited to have the opportunity to provide the very best early childhood education experience for students while creating a true sense of community within the School.
Puja is a graduate of Radford University where she received her B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation in 2012. Arpit is a graduate of Virginia Teach University where he received his B.S. in Accounting in 2011.
I come to Celebree with over 19 years of teaching experience and over 9 years of director experience working in the early education field on March 3, 2023. I have worked with all different age groups anywhere from 6weeks to 16 years of age. I have my AAS in Early childhood education and I plan to pursue my education further to gain my bachelor’s degree. I found my love of working with kids from volunteering for a teen parenting program in Columbia, MD.
I started out mentoring young girls who became parents at a young age to help encourage them to get their education. I would also help show them parenting skills as a young mom and how to nurture their babies. The time I have been with Celebree I have had the pleasure of building such great relationships with so many wonderful families, children and staff. I am excited to keep growing with the Celebree School of Laurel as We Grow People Big and Small.
I come from a background of teachers in my family. I also have a son who is 25 years old son, and a dog named Blu, and I have been married to my spouse for 8 years. I enjoy going to the movies in my free time and spending time with my family. I have an absolute love for Stitch (from Lilo and Stitch) as well as Hello Kitty and Harry Potter (House of Gryffindor). It’s the little things that make me happy.
I have been working with children for the last 14 years and in the childcare field for 11 years. It has been a joy working with children and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I came to Celebree looking for growth in my career and doing what I simply love to do. I can say that I have been able to do so, and have gained much knowledge since working at Celebree, for the past 3 years.
When I first came to Celebree I was the young two’s lead teacher, then became the school support manager within a year of me being here and later being promoted to the Preschool 3A teacher/School Support Manager. This past March I have continued to grow within the company, with a promotion to the Assistant Director. I appreciate Celebree being a school and place where you can grow and expand your knowledge in the field of childcare. It has been a joy working here thus far and I look forward to continuing to grow.
