Millennials had the best of both worlds. We were able to ding, dong, ditch or sell candy to our neighbors, whatever sounded more fun. We used the bathroom during commercial breaks and timed it exactly so we could get back before the episode restarted. We played kickball in the cul-de-sac, and the only requirement to join was \u201cno shoes allowed.\u201d We learned to ride our bikes, played typing games, and chose our own email addresses. But you know what I want, what I really, really want?<\/p>\n

I want something else to get my kid through this digital-kinda life. I\u2019d walk a thousand miles if I could just see a preschool that slowed things down and allowed my kid to be a kid. For real though, we grew up in the digital boom, so we had the unique opportunity to test our social skills, to have big feelings without being exploited on the internet, and to get IRL hugs instead of likes. Feeling nostalgic won\u2019t get my kid better opportunities but enrolling them in Celebree will.<\/p>\n

The logical consequence of staying awake during naptime is resting, waiting quietly, and laying down with your thoughts.<\/p>\n

Our little napsters wake up to play together, which consequently leads to feelings\u2026 sometimes big ones. They learn to use words like, \u201cI\u2019m frustrated\u201d if a friend is playing with something they want to play with. They can say, \u201cYou shall not pass\u201d when a friend tries to knock over their blocks. At Celebree, we let others know what we want. When others know what we want, they have a chance to follow through and we can avoid big emotions.<\/p>\n
