Vakul moved to Richmond in 2004 for work, and Shivi followed in 2005. They have called Richmond home ever since. Deeply rooted in the community, they can usually be found at local events, volunteering with non-profit organizations, or cheering on their two Richmond-born children. Shivi loves to dance and choreograph and often lends her creativity to cultural and community events, while Vakul has spent years serving and leading in local organizations across the region.
As the owner-operators behind Celebree School of Henrico and Celebree School of Richmond at Willow Lawn, Shivi and Vakul share a strong belief that early childhood education is the foundation for lifelong success. They are passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children can grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence, while giving parents peace of mind as they head to work each day. They are committed to high-quality education and to serving families across the greater Richmond metro area.
Vakul holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma, and Shivi holds a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Virginia Commonwealth University. Together, they combine their analytical, STEM-focused backgrounds with a warm, family-centered approach to ensure that every child at Celebree feels known, cared for, and inspired to learn.

Hello! My name is Sashae, but everyone calls me Shae. I am the Hiring and Marketing Coordinator at the Celebree School of Henrico. I’ve completed two years toward my Early Childhood Education degree and maintain my Admin 1 & 2 Childcare Certifications, along with CPR, AED, and MAT certifications.
I bring over 15 years of childcare experience to my role, paired with more than 10 years of Adobe Premiere and Lightroom expertise. With a strong background in sales and marketing, I support our school’s growth, branding, and community engagement.
Whether I’m working alongside our team, creating content, or supporting our classrooms, you can always find me with the kids or somewhere behind a camera capturing the moment.
