From the Heart: Celebree’s Evening at the Ronald McDonald House

From the Heart: Our Evening at the Ronald McDonald House
By Karen Callahan, Owner of Celebree School of Estero

This past week, our team at Celebree School of Estero had the honor of preparing dinner for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Myers. I can honestly say it was one of those experiences that reminds you exactly why we do what we do.

As we chopped, stirred, and set the table, we weren’t just cooking a meal; we were hoping to offer a little bit of comfort in the middle of what are surely some very tough days for these families. Our menu was simple: Alfredo pasta, fresh salad, and warm bread. But it was made with care, from our hearts to theirs.

Community has always meant so much to me, and this night was a reminder of how powerful small acts of service can be. At Celebree, we talk a lot about “growing people big and small.” That goes beyond early education; it means leading with kindness, supporting others, and being present where we’re needed most.

I watched our team come together, not just as educators, but as people who genuinely care. And that’s what I love about our school. We don’t just teach children; we show them what it looks like to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Thank you to the Ronald McDonald House for letting us be part of such a special evening. And to our school families, know that our passion for nurturing extends into the community, because we believe that’s where true growth begins.

If you’re looking for a simple way to make a difference, even a small gesture can go a long way. I encourage you to visit this link to learn more about how you can support the Ronald McDonald House. We’re already looking forward to doing more of these meaningful experiences as part of our curriculum at Celebree, because service is one of the most powerful lessons we can pass on.

Warmly,
Karen Callahan
