Tiny Hands, Big Hearts: Estero Preschool Celebrates Its First Valentine’s Day | Celebree School of Estero

Celebree School of Estero is celebrating its first Valentine’s Day in Southwest Florida, bringing families together for a holiday centered on love, kindness, and early childhood development and they were recently featured on WINK News for their heartwarming approach to the holiday. In this segment, the school is hosting Valentine’s Day crafts and activities designed for children of all ages, from infants to preschoolers.

Valentine’s Day is about more than candy and cards for many families. At Celebree School, it is an opportunity to teach empathy, connection, and community in age-appropriate and meaningful ways. Owner and operator Karen Callahan opened the Estero location in July 2025 with a commitment to delivering high-quality early childhood education rooted in care focused on the child as a whole.

Callahan shared her enthusiasm about welcoming families into the building to celebrate. With an open-door policy, parents are encouraged to participate, connect, and spend time in the classroom alongside their children. The goal is to create memorable experiences and to reinforce the school’s strong community focus.

Each classroom has planned activities tailored to developmental stages. For infants and toddlers, children can participate in a mess-free finger-painting project using heart-shaped paper and sealed paint bags. This activity may look like simple fun, but the activity helps strengthen fine motor skills and sensory exploration during a critical stage of development.

For the older children, they have crafts such as decorating paper mailboxes and exchanging Valentine’s messages with classmates. These activities support creativity and helps children feel included, valued, and part of a larger community. By sharing notes and kind messages, students begin learning empathy, generosity, and social awareness.

The staff at Celebree emphasize that these moments go far beyond crafts. Valentine’s Day provides a natural opportunity to teach kindness, cooperation, and emotional expression. By blending fun with purposeful learning, the school reinforces its commitment to nurturing the whole child.
