September flew by, and now we are enjoying the crisp, refreshing fall weather! \ud83c\udf42<\/p>\n
This is a wonderful time of year to reflect on the exciting things happening in our classrooms.<\/p>\n
Each group of teachers is focusing on key areas of learning such as sign language, sight words, math, language arts, and art, along with other important skills that support your child\u2019s growth and development.<\/p>\n
Be sure to take a moment to walk through our hallways\u2014this month\u2019s bulletin boards are full of creative fall-themed displays made by the children and teachers!<\/p>\n
We also have lots of fun events on the horizon, so don\u2019t forget to check out our Funday Calendar for all the exciting activities planned this month.<\/p>\n
Our Community Coat Drive will continue for the next couple of weeks\u2014thank you for helping us support families in need.<\/p>\n

Larriland is big but still charming, with just enough structure that it never feels overwhelming. Their apple trees are spread across gentle hills, and depending on when you go, you\u2019ll find different varieties ripening: Gala, Fuji, Empire, and later in the season, Goldrush and Pink Lady. There are wagons for little ones, a straw maze in the fall, and a barn store with all the essentials, cider, jams, and caramel apples that never seem to make it home.<\/p>\n Butlers Orchard \u2013 Germantown, MD<\/strong> Butler\u2019s always feels like a full fall experience, yet it\u2019s quieter somehow. They often pair apple season with their annual Pumpkin Festival, which runs through late October. I\u2019ve found Fuji and Crimson Crisp there in recent years, and the orchard staff are always helpful if you\u2019re hunting for something specific. It\u2019s a solid pick if you want apples and activities all in one stop.<\/p>\n Baugher\u2019s Orchard and Farm \u2013 Westminster, MD<\/strong> Baugher\u2019s feels like an old-school farm in the best way. We\u2019ve taken friends here who want the whole package: apples, pumpkins, a petting zoo, wagon rides, and of course, the bakery. Their cider donuts are warm and generously coated in cinnamon sugar (ask me how I know), and they usually have a good range of apples into late October. This is one of those places where you could spend the whole day and still not see everything.<\/p>\n Lohr\u2019s Orchard \u2013 Churchville, MD<\/strong> Lohr\u2019s is smaller than some other farms and orchards, but it\u2019s very quaint and I think that\u2019s the appeal. You drive down a long farm road and suddenly you\u2019re surrounded by apple trees and cornfields. Their cider is pressed on site and sold cold in big glass bottles that look like something out of a vintage cookbook. If you\u2019re looking for a quieter outing, this one\u2019s lovely.<\/p>\n
