Let\u2019s Talk About Our Kids (With Someone Who Really Gets It)<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re a parent, you probably know the feeling of looking at your child and thinking, “What is going on in that little mind?”<\/em> Whether it’s a meltdown over the wrong color cup or a sudden fear of something random, kids can be tough to figure out sometimes\u2014and even tougher to support in the exact way they need.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we’re genuinely excited about this upcoming event with Dr. Chant\u00e9 Dix<\/a><\/strong>. She\u2019s not only incredibly knowledgeable, she\u2019s also someone who gets it<\/em>. On Friday, September 20th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm EST<\/strong> in person at Celebree School of Bristow<\/strong>, Dr. Dix will be leading a session all about understanding and supporting children\u2019s behavior using tools from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). And the best part? It\u2019s totally free and open to anyone.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a bit about Dr. Dix: she\u2019s a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst \u2013 Doctoral (basically, super qualified), and she\u2019s been doing this work for over 10 years. She\u2019s helped children and families in homes, schools, and clinics\u2014and right now she\u2019s the Senior Director of Clinical Services at Behavioral Innovations. She also teaches at The Chicago School, so she\u2019s not just out there doing the work\u2014she\u2019s helping train others too.<\/p>\n

What I love about her approach is that it\u2019s practical. This isn\u2019t going to be a bunch of clinical jargon. Expect real, relatable tips you can take home and actually use\u2014whether that means calming a tough moment, building better routines, or just understanding why your child reacts the way they do.<\/p>\n

Who should come?<\/h3>\n

Honestly? Anyone. Parents, grandparents, teachers, babysitters\u2014if you care about kids, this is worth your time. You don\u2019t need to know anything about ABA, and you definitely don\u2019t need to have all the answers. Just come curious.<\/p>\n
