This summer marks a milestone for early childhood education in Somerset County. Celebree School® of Branchburg–Somerville officially opened its doors on Aug. 11, bringing more than 30 years of curricular excellence to local families.
Located at 1005 US Route 202, the new center introduces a nurturing, curriculum-based environment designed to meet children’s physical, social, emotional, and academic needs, fully aligning with New Jersey’s early education standards.
A Family-Rooted Dream
The center is owned and operated by Jalpesh and Dhruti Chokshi, a local entrepreneurial couple deeply committed to community and quality education. Jalpesh’s journey from a finance career in 2012, through operating local restaurants, to early education was inspired by his children’s own daycare experiences and a desire to make meaningful impact.
Dhruti, a clinical scientist and PTO president at a local school, brings both expertise and heart to this venture. Together, the Chokshis are setting a new standard. Every child enrolled will generate a donation to Make-A-Wish and Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey, the school is exploring a partnership with Somerset Pediatric Hospital, and Valedictorian Sponsor to Branchburg Education Foundation illustrating their deep-rooted focus on community care.
Celebrating Community and Leadership
To commemorate the opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Aug. 18, welcoming families, educators, and community leaders to the new school. The event was hosted in partnership with the Somerset County Business Partnership Chamber and featured several distinguished guests, including Mayor Thomas Young of Branchburg, Township Committee Member David Owens, Mayor Brian Gallagher Somerville, and County Commissioner Elizabeth Graner. Their presence underscored the importance of early education in building stronger communities and affirmed Celebree School’s place as a new cornerstone of Branchburg–Somerville.
