Newborns still need plenty of support for their head and neck. Over the first few months, that begins to change.<\/p>\n
By around 2 months, many babies briefly lift their head during tummy time.<\/p>\n
At 3 months, you may notice steadier head control and more time spent looking around from different positions.<\/p>\n
By about 4 months, many babies can hold their head steady without support and push up on their elbows or forearms while on their tummy.<\/p>\n
