It is important to note that our children use language to be able to communicate their needs, emotions, and thoughts. It also allows them to interact with their peers, which is crucial to their growth and development.<\/p>\n
In the study Brilliant Bilingual Babies<\/a> published by HeadStart, it was indicated that learning more than one language has many benefits, which include cognitive skills like working memory, directing attention, and impulse inhibition.<\/p>\n When a child learns multiple languages, a sort of competition happens in their brain, sending a signal to resolve this internal conflict by switching to and from one language to another.<\/p>\n In this process, the child\u2019s brain will learn how to prioritize information and ignore distractions, which in turn improves the child\u2019s ability to focus and concentrate.<\/p>\n The brain\u2019s cognitive function enables us to think, read, learn, remember, reason, and pay attention.<\/p>\n Boosting the child\u2019s cognitive skills by learning a second language will enhance memory, concentration, and listening skills.
